Plated systems are used for joisted or battened floors and Incognito offers a range of plated solutions to suit each application. The aluminium plate spans the joists or are fixed from underneath, acting as a support for the pipes as well as a spreading the heat to give an even heat output.

AMBIPLATE 20

The systems consists of aluminium diffuser plates being fixed directly on to the battens/joists. The plates contain grooved channels into which the underfloor heating pipework is installed in continuous lengths and piped back to the underfloor heating manifold.
Before the underfloor heating system is
installed, insulation should be laid between the battens/joists and should be laid tight to the underside of the pipework to maximise heating output.

AMBIPLATE 30

Combining contemporary heating
technology with traditional timber floors,
the AmbiPlate 30 system is designed
specifically for joisted floor constructions.
Before the underfloor heating system is
installed, mineral wool/fi bre insulation,
typically a minimum of 100mm, should be
laid between the joists. Rigid insulation
can also be used to achieve better thermal values but in all cases it is essential that the insulation is installed tight to the underside of the pipework as possible to maximise heating output.

AMBIPLATE 80 SERIES

The AmbiPlate 80 series is designed
specifically for retrofit or refurbishment
projects. The aluminium plates, which are
manufactured and rolled in accordance
with the project design, can be installed
from either below or above, depending on access. If installed from above, the plate is fixed centrally on top of the joists ready to accept the timber floor layer over the top . If installing from below, the plate is fixed to the underside of the timber floor layer. Pipework is installed into the diff user plates as per the
installation drawings.
